KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.30 g, 12 h), Sardes, circa 322-319/8. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding eagle in right hand and scepter in left; to left, monogram of ΠΤΥ above rose. Price 2586. Perfectly centered on a flan with wide borders, and struck on excellent metal. About extremely fine.
