THESSALY, Thessalian League. Circa 150-100 BC. Stater (Silver, 24 mm, 6.07 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrates Italos and Diokles. ITAΛOY Head of Zeus to right, wearing oak wreath. Rev. ΘEΣΣA/ΛΩN / ΔIO-KΛHΣ Athena Itonia striding right, hurling spear with her right hand and extending shield in her left; below shield, N. Thessaly II 843 var. (same obverse die; Italos also named on the reverse)and 875.4 var. (Italos also named on the reverse). HGC 4, 210. Toned, and with fine details. About extremely fine.
