Α - Ρ Head of Aphrodite to left, her hair falling down the back of her neck; behind, ivy leaf. BCD Corinth 187 var. (no ivy leaf). HGC 5, 1878 var. (without symbol). Attractive light toning, well centered and struck, and with a charming head of Aphrodite. A few old scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
The hemidrachms of Corinth are rarer than any other silver denomination from that prolific mint, but they do bear some of the most charming heads in the entire series; thus, testifying to the virtuosity of the Corinthian die engravers
