ΔΗΜΑΡΧ ΕΞ ΥΠΑΤΟC ΤΟ Δ Eagle standing facing on filleted thyrsos with wings spread, head right, holding wreath in beak. Prieur 912 (same obverse die). Very rare. Lightly toned, lightly struck and with an interesting portrait. Light scratch in the obverse field, otherwise, good very fine.
Prieur only knew of four specimens of this type, and the only example that has appeared at auction was his own coin, which is substantially inferior to ours.
