CRUSADERS. Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. Imitation Dirhams, mid to late 13th century. Dirham (Silver, 20 mm, 2.94 g, 12 h), in the name of the Ayyubid al-Salih Isma'il, Acre. CCS 9. Metcalf, Crusades 233-5. Some weakness along the edges, otherwise, very fine.

As the earlier dirhams with a cross were refused by the local Arab inhabitants, the Crusaders revived the issuance of Ayyubid imitations with the name of the Ayyubid al-Salih Isma'il, although removing the name of Allah.
