China, People's Republic 1949 P-821a PMG About UNC 55 EPQ 20 Yuan
The first series of Renminbi from the People's Republic of China is filled with rarities, especially in original, lightly circulated condition, as seen here. Not only were these produced on fairly low quality paper, they circulated extensively, and relatively few were put aside after they entered circulation. This original AU has received the coveted "EPQ" designation from PMG, and makes for a nice representative for the type.
