France ND (1938) P-87s PMG Choice UNC 64 300 Francs (Specimen)
An extremely scarce specimen issue for one of the most unusual denominations ever issued by the Banque of France, which saw limited use and never became very popular. It was only printed in 1938 and 1939 but unlike most other French notes of this era it does not carry a printed date on the note. Block O on this example would correlate with a printing date of February 1939. It has both a specimen perforation and a black specimen overprint. This specimen is the single finest in the PMG population report, and it is the first specimen of this issue that we have handled.
