Greenland 1897 P-5a PCGS Fine 12 DETAILS 1 Krone
Variety with handwritten serial number. A very scarce variety missing from even the most advanced collections of Greenland. Track & Price shows no sales results at public auction in this variety, and the last sales result we could find was many years ago at auction in Denmark. An important opportunity for the specialist and one that is not to be missed. Even though this example obviously spent considerable time in circulation the grade assigned by PCGS (and the comments) are a bit harsh, as the overall eye-appeal is better than one would expect. PCGS mentions "Edge splits and tears".
