Israel, Anglo-Palestine Bank ND (1948-51) P-18s PMG Choice UNC 64 50 Pounds (Specimen)
The highest and most difficult denomination from the second Anglo-Palestine Bank series of Israel, issued shortly after the initial series had been prepared but never issued, with this series first entering circulation in August of 1948 and replacing the Palestine Pounds that had been in circulation in British Palestine. A type that is extremely rare in issued form, specimens such as this are a bit more available, but demand for them is high and offerings at public auction are infrequent at best. This problem-free choice uncirculated example has fresh paper, good eye-appeal and strong color.
