Persia 1.6.1918 P-2 PMG Very Fine 25 NET 2 Tomans
Persian banknotes (present-day Iran) are very popular with collectors, but many of the issues are rare to extremely rare in issued form. This 2 Tomans of the first issue was payable at Hamadan, a branch in the west of the country that opened in 1909. Skillful repairs have enhanced the appearance of this piece (this serious is notorious for repairs, many of whom have not exactly helped the appearance of these notes, but this is an exception) and the overall eye-appeal is excellent for the technical grade. The note retains bold color and is an excellent representative of this challenging type. PMG mentions "Repaired".
