Crowned King standing facing on ship, with sword and shield of quartered arms; flag at stern; RICARD' x DI' x GRA' x REX x ANGL' x Z x FRANC' x DNS' x HIB' x Z x AQT [Richard, by the grace of God, King of England and France, Lord of Ireland and Aquitaine]. / R [Richard] within ornamented compartment, within floriated cross; lions passant, crowns and lisses surround; all within tressure of eight arches, with trefoils in angles; ✠ [cross patée] [double saltire] IHC x AUTEM [double saltire] TRANSIENS x PER [double saltire] MEDIV' x ILLORVM [double saltire] IBAT [double saltire] [But Jesus passing through their midst went on his way].

In secure plastic holder, graded NGC AU 58, certification number 2124432-016. Very attractive. Neatly and well struck with considerable lustre. Rare.
