NORTHERN SONG: Qing Li, 1041-1048, AE 10 cash (6.84g), H-16.124, VF, ex Dr. Dirk Löer Collection. The Qing Li large bronze coins, intended to be worth 10 cash, were cast in Jiangnan to fund the war with the Western Xia. The large coins caused prices to leap up and both public and private interests suffered. In 1048, the large iron coins were devalued to 3 iron cash.
