BURMA: Tenasserim-Pegu, cast large tin coin (77.79g), 17th-18th century, Robinson, 70.7mm; knotted dragon right with long protruding pointed tongue, 6-point rosette below with horizontal center, without pellets along his neck // different 3-line Burmese legend, still undeciphered (except the bottom line, which is 361 ma), unpublished (except in our auction), EF, RRR. Differs from Robinson Plate 9.1 by the rosette and the previously unknown Burmese legend. The examples of this new type are the heaviest group thus far reported, normally weighing 77g to 86g. The meaning of "361" remains mysterious, as it does not fit with any of the Burmese calendars then in use. This is the 6th known example, the others sold in our auctions 35 & 38.
