STRAITS SETTLEMENTS: Victoria, 1837-1901, AE cent, 1845, KM-3, East India Company issue, one-year type, rich chestnut-brown patina, Choice EF. In 1830, the Straits Settlements became a residency, or subdivision, of the Presidency of Bengal, in British India. This status continued until 1867.
