GREAT BRITAIN: EXONUMIA: 2-medal set, 1972, 46g & 72g gilt sterling silver medal set struck by Bradshaw & Darlington of England for the Death of Edward VIII, later the Duke of Windsor (1894-1972), KING EDWARD VIII / DUKE OF WINDSOR around bust of Edward // DIEU ET MON DROIT "God and my right" and dates around arms, ICH DIEN "I serve" below, both medals bear the silversmiths hallmarks and B M & B Co, they are numbered G47 on the edge, and both set in the original case of issue, total silver weight of 118g of sterling silver, a very attractive and scarcely encountered set, retail value $150, set of 2 medals, Brilliant Unc. The total world issue of theis limited edition set was only 1000, and the united states allotment was only 400 with an unkown number struch in gilt sterling silver.
