Foreign Medals - ROYAL ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS IN ANTWERP 1887, by By L. Wiener, Belgium Bust of Leopold II to right. Rev. group of four naked boys wearing loincloths; one making a sketch on a piece of paper; one measuring a Corinthian capital with a pair of compasses; in the center, one is painting a Victoria on a canvas; the latter is working with a hammer and chisel on a bust of Charles of Lorraine. Dom 182. 4331.Awarded to the impressionist Dutch painter and photographer Franz Deutmann (1867-1915) who studied at the royal academy of fine arts in Antwerp between 1884 and 1887. Found in leather black box. Almost extremely fine
