Good Very Fine; excellent for the issue. Scarce.

From the collection of a Romanophile;
Ex Cherson Collection of I.K, Roma Numismatics Ltd., E-Sale 64, 28 November 2019, lot 960.

This issue is, like others potentially struck locally at Cherson, traditionally catalogued as having been produced at Constantinople - in which case, specifically for use at Cherson. As with other such types, the crude fabric and style argue strongly in favour of reattribution to a local mint.
