Served with 2nd Battalion of The Loyal Regiment in Fortress Reserve at Singapore. When Singapore fell he was taken prisoner of war by the Japanese Army. Major William John Holohan (47382) was interned in Korea at Chosen Camp, a branch of the Keijo Main Camp. Keijo was an administrative district of Chosen that now corresponds to the present Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
