Entitled to 1914-15 Star which was sent to his father Max C. Christensen on 08Oct1920. Note the father's correct name is Mad Christian Christensen, originally from Denmark.

Together with WWI Memorial Plaque named to Jacob Christensen in original fold-over cardboard holder; b&w photos, colour photos from Mildura & District War Memorial, and other original documents.

Jacob Christensen, painter, age 21, born at Auburn, Melbourne, Vic; Enl.29Mar1915 at Mildura, Vic, in 24Bn, with previous service of 2 years in 1Bn Senior Cadets; Emb.08May1915; WIA shrapnel wounds to foot, legs and face 10Sep1915 at Gallipoli; to 6FAmb at Gallipoli 11Sep1915; to Floriana Hospital at Malta and died 18Sep1915 from shock following amputation; Buried with full honours at Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta 19Sep1915; commemorated at Mildura & District War Memorial.
