Service records are unavailable but a report in The Age, Melbourne, Victoria, Tuesday 11 May 1937, page 12 stated as follows.
'Mr. F. A. JENKYN, MALVERN.
The death has occurred at a private hospital of Mr. Francis Arthur Jenkyn, Albert-street, East Malvern, at the age of 41 years. The late Mr. Jenkyn was associated for very many years with Baillieu Allard Pty. Ltd., Collins-street, city, and was widely known in business circles. He saw service with the navy during the war, and of recent years took an active interest in the affairs of the East Malvern branch, R.S.S.I.L.A. The remains will be cremated at Spring Vale to-day, the funeral arrangements being in, the hands of A. A. Sleight Pty. Ltd.'
