Dodd/V.X.21747./C of E.'; fibre compound dog tags on a nylon neck cord, on tag circular, the other hexagonal, both impressed, 'VX21747/ Dodd N. C/CE'the hexagonal tag impressed on reverse, 'A2'; nickel silver wrist watch, no band and missing seconds hand, reverse inscribed, 'Sgt. C.Dodd./A.I.F/from/Pakenham Citizens.'; padded leather purse; leather photo holder; leather wallet with various compartments and a nail file; polished metal plate with pierced hole at top for use as a mirror, in a leather holder marked 'Good Luck'; leather wallet style holder with two typed sheets, one with instructions for 'Balloon Barrage D.R.O. 5', the other issued by U.S. Navy titled, 'Air Raid Precautions For Civilians'; Soldier's Pay Book (2, different); Soldier's Record Of Service Book; large leather folder for holding note book and other items, on cover is gold blocked, 'N. C. Dodd' in one corner and in the opposite corner is a small bronze Rising Sun badge (KC); leather fold-over holder with a clip-lock and containing a note book with pencil and also a polished metal plate with pierced hole at top for use as a mirror, on the front of the folder is gold blocked with the City of Hawthorn arms and below and across the folder, 'VX 21747/A:SGT./N. C. Norman Cedric Dodd was the youngest son of Rev. E.J. Dodd of Packenham East. He married Joyce Agnes Scarcebrook of Hawthorn East at the Church of Christ, Swanston East on Friday 20 September 1940 and named her in his will dated 12 November 1940.
