Elizabeth Cavendish had been married to the 5th Duke of Devonshire who had died in 1811, after which she moved to Rome where she lived for the rest of her life. Manfredini made four differing miniature medals commemorating Elizabeth Cavendish. He also made four miniature medals of Lord Byron who died in the same year.
