ASIA MINOR, Uncertain. Hadrian, with Sabina. AD 117-138. Æ (15mm, 2.67 g, 7h). HADRIANO AVG, laureate head of Hadrian right / Draped bust of Sabina right. RPC III 6573 corr. (obv. legend). Red-brown surfaces, porosity. Near VF. Very rare, only one specimen known to RPC.
The one specimen known to RPC is in poor condition, this coin completes the obverse legend. Unfortunately, the city name on the reverse on both coins is unclear. The combination of this obverse legend and small denomination is only found in Judaea but the fabric of the coin does not seem to be from that area, a western Asia Minor mint is more likely.
