Ceylon 24.6.1945 P-37a PMG Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ 50 Rupees
A type that is seldom seen in such original condition, this is a very scarce type to find with "EPQ" status. Most examples have been heavily folded, have pinholes (in addition to the staple holes always seen on this type), writing or other problems. Despite having spent some time in circulation, this example, which is dated 1945, is fully original with strong color, crisp paper, and exceptional eye-appeal. It makes claims to an XF grade and will be a welcome addition to an advanced collection of the country now known as Sri Lanka. PMG mentions "Staple holes at issue". PMG Population in 35: 1 (3 Finer)
