Anglo-Saxon England, Continental Phase (695-740), Sceat, Series E, Variety A, quilled 'porcupine' crescent right, enclosing six bars, rev. votive standard, central pellet-in-annulet, pellet below, cross to each side, 1.28g, 1h (SL 94-10; SCBI 69 [Abramson], 241; Spink 790B), lightly toned on a remarkably broad flan for issue, almost extremely fine, a desirable example of this commonly encountered type.
