Cnut (1016-1035/36), 'Cross in Quatrefoil', Penny, 1017-1023, Lincoln, Wulfbern [Ulfbjorn], + CNVT REX ANGLORVI [from 6 o'clock], crowned and draped bust left, in quatrefoil, rev. + PVLBERN MO LIN, voided long cross over pellet-tipped voided quatrefoil, 0.84g, 5h (SCBI 27 [Lincolnshire], 390-394; North 781; BMC VIII; Spink 1157), slightly crimped and creased with daylight spots and rim fractures, otherwise toned, a bolder very fine.
