Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), Light Coinage, Expanding Cross, Penny, London, Eadmund, + EDPE-RD RECX, diademed and draped bust left, trefoil-tipped sceptre before, rev. + EADMVND ON [LVN]D: expanding cross with central annulet and larger annulet 'halo', 0.83g, 9h (BEH 457; North 820; Spink 1176), chipped and crinkled, with patchy 'field' tone, struck details about very fine.
