[+] E[F]RARD • [ON • EVE], voided shortcross, quatrefoils in angles, 0.69g, 7h (SCBI Mass 546; North 763; Spink 1344), darkly toned with areas of weakness and doubling, strictly fine; another, Class Ic, struck Winchester, Adam [?], similar, but cruder styling, no stop before REX, serifs on N, rev. + (ADAM) [• O]N • WINC, 0.71g, 10h (SCBI Mass 641; North 764; Spink 1345), lightly waterworn with mottled 'field' tone, a bolder fine; also, Richard I 'the Lionheart' (1189-1199), Class IVb, struck c. 1200-1204, London, similar, rev. + (...)
