Edward I (1272-1307), Recoinage Issues, Round Halfpennies (3), Class 3b, struck c. 1280-1281, London, + EDW R ANGL DNS HyB, crowned bust facing, curved line for drapery, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets, 0.58g, 10h (Spink 1431), edge chipped between 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock, soft 'field' tone, a bolder fine; also, Class 3c, struck c. 1280-1281, Lincoln, similar, rev. CIVITAS LINCOL', 0.69g, 6h (Spink 1440), trace porosity, otherwise almost very fine; lastly, Class 3c, York [Royal], similar, rev. CIVITAS EBORACI, 0.63g, 1h (Spink 1442), crimped with a dark irregular 'field' tone, full, fair / very fine (3).
