Edward IV, First Reign (1461-1470), Groat, Class VII, Bristol, crowned bust facing, lombardic B on breast, rev. VILLA BRISTOLL, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 2.67g, 3h, m.m. crown (North 1580; Spink 2004), clipped and lightly porous, about very fine; another, Second Reign (1471-1483), Groat, Type XIV, 1471-1472, London, similar, rev. CIVITAS London, 2.91g, 9h, m.m. large annulet (North 1631; Spink 2096), waterworn and lightly porous, crinkled with stubble rash on face, a bolder fine (2).
