Henry VIII (1509-1547), Third Coinage, Groat, 1544-1547, Tower, first crowned facing bust, rev. shield over long cross fourchee, saltires in forks, 2.35g, 11h, m.m. lys (North 1844; Spink 2369A), clipped between 1 and 3 o'clock, otherwise with a most pleasingly struck up portrait, with darkened surfaces, good very fine, portrait better; another, Groat, 1544-1547, Tower, second crowned facing bust, rev. shield over long cross fourchee, 2.55g, 2h, m.m lys (North 1844; Spink 2369), two small flan splits to the legend at 6 o'clock and with some staining, otherwise very fine; lastly, Posthumous Issue, under Edward VI, Penny, Tower, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, 0.68g, 5h, no m.m. (North 1883; Spink 2418), about very fine (3).
