Charles II (1660-1685), 'Rose' Crown, 1662 [undated edge], Type A1, CAROLVS • II • DEI • GRA •, first laureate and draped bust right, rose below, rev. stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, ten strings to harp, DECVS ET TVTAMEN widely spaced downwards on edge, 29.64g, 6h (ESC 15 var.; Bull 339 var.; Spink 3350), a touch of rub to hair and some very light contact marking, otherwise with a pleasing cabinet tone, very fine.
