George III (1760-1820), 'New Coinage' Halfcrown, 1817, D over T, large laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, edge milled, 14.08g, 11h (ESC 616A; Bull 2091; Spink 3788), some very light rub to cheek, otherwise darkly toned and lustrous, near extremely fine, rare; additionally, 'New Coinage' Halfcrown, 1820, small laureate head right, rev. crowned shield in Garter, milled edge, 14.07g, 11h (ESC 625; Bull 2105; Spink 3789), once wiped and faintly contact marked, including a small bruise to edge at 10 o'clock, nevertheless still residually lustrous and toned, bolder very fine, scarce (2).
