Victoria (1837-1901), 'Young Head' Halfcrown, 1881, young head left of inferior workmanship, no initials on truncation, rev. crowned square topped shield within wreath, edge milled, 14.10g, 5h (ESC 707; Bull 2758; Davies 590; Spink 3889), an unfortunate small die flaw to edge at 7 o'clock and a more signification lamination flaw between T and O of VICTORIA, otherwise pleasingly lustrous, the portrait splendidly bold, otherwise much as issued.
