Charles I, Cast and Chased AR Royalist Supporter's Badge, after T. Rawlins, laureate and armoured bust left, framed within floral and corded border, rev. draped bust left, framed within floral and corded border, 7.14g, 33 x 28mm (MI I 355/218; Num. Chron. XIII Pl. 1, No. 9), smoothed at suspension point and subtle historic tooling in fields, otherwise a truly stunning example of this popular dual issue, staggeringly bold and sumptuously toned with much red wax from the Murdoch plate illustration in recesses, a wondrous example with a presitigious pedigree.
