THE BEGINNING OF OPPRESSION, standing man with club, points to collapsed man on ground, SPENCE X DEALER X IN X COINS X LONDON on edge, 5h, 11.82g (D&H 768), the Ns in the obverse legend reversed, with pleasingly lustrous and largely mint red surfaces, about uncirculated; Middlesex, Foundling Fields, Halfpenny, 1795, lamb facing left, rev. cypher, obliquely milled edge, 6h, 8.20g (D&H 305), usual die flaw to the reverse stop in legend, with some residual lustre and lighter brown surfaces in parts, near extremely fine and rare (2).
