Norway, Karl Johan XIV (1818-1844), 24-Skilling, 1830, draped bust right, rev. crowned shield dividing 24-Sk, date and crossed hammers below, incuse edge grained, 5.76g, 12h (NM 35), some small scratches and metal flaws, otherwise lightly toned, a handsomely bold very fine, very rare, especially in this condition with only 5,800 pieces reportedly struck and by far the finer of the specimens to be offered a worldwide public auction this millennium.
