(x) The Leja Park Collection | Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series S, type 47, stiff-legged female centaur left, torso forward, looking back, wearing cynehelm, holding palm fronds either side, tail intertwines rear legs, Beaded tail, rev. wolf-whorl clockwise with elongated tongues joining in beaded spiral cross; central boss, 1.04g (SL 68-10; SCBI 69 [Abramson], 770; MEC 8 Series Sa; North 121; Spink 814), off-struck on an elliptical flan, of excellent fabric and lightly cabinet toned with much underlying lustre, almost extremely fine, rare.
