(x) The Leja Park Collection | Harold I 'Harefoot' (1035-1040), 'Jewel Cross' Type, Penny, 1036-1038, Leicester, Wulfstan, diademed bust left, rev. + PVLSTAN ON LEHR: 'jewel cross' of four ovals united by two circles at base, enclosing pellet, 1.08g, 3h (Talvio L1a; SCBI 18 [Copenhagen], 200 same dies; SCBI 40 [Stockholm], 252; North 802; Spink 1163), lightly crimped and pecking to portrait and reverse, otherwise darkly cabinet toned, a really very fine, an extremely rare variety for Leicester, with only four examples traced for this moneyer, two institutionalised, an unprovenanced exampled that surfaced in the Summer of 2016, and this evidently old cabinet specimen.
