(x) The Leja Park Collection | Henry VIII (1509-1547), First Coinage, Halfgroat, 1514-1526, York, Thomas Wolsey, crowned bust of Henry VII right, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, keys below shield, Bishop's mitre at base, 1.20g, 10h, m.m. star (North 1771; Spink 2326), peripheral striking softness and an historic scratch behind bust, toned, very fine; additionally, Second Coinage, Groat, 1526-1544, similar but of Henry VIII, rev. fields plain, 2.67g, 4h, m.m. lys (North 1797; Spink 2337E), lightly toned, a pleasing very fine; lastly, Posthumous Issue, under Edward VI, Halfgroat, 1547-1551, Canterbury, crowned bust three-quarters facing right, rev. CIVITAS CANTOR, 0.80g, 4h (North 1881; Spink 2415), lightly toned with striking splits, a bolder fine for issue (3).
