CHINA. China, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. Mixed Cast and Struck Copper issues (Approximately 100 Pieces), ca. 14th to 20th Centuries. Grade Range: VERY GOOD to EXTREMELY FINE.
An interesting gathering primarily consisting of struck copper issues from Imperial and Republican China, but does contain a few cast issues from Japan, Korea and the Qing Dynasty. Also, includes a Ming Dynasty 5 Cash (Hartill-20.39) and several other issues in copper-nickel, silver and aluminum. Most of the struck issues are worn with a pleasing brown patina while the cast issues exhibit minor earthen deposits. Many have encrustation, corrosion, cleaned and/or may have other defects. Close personal inspection is advised and will reward the diligent bidder. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. Approximate retail value in excess of $600.
