Coin 1: Elizabeth II, 1952-2022, 5 Pounds 2021. Royal Mint. Proof. Red Dragon of Wales. 40 mm. 62.42 g. 999/1000 Silver.
The fourth in a series of 10 coins known as the Queen's Beasts series, each featuring one of the heraldic statues present at HM the Queen's coronation in 1953. The Welsh dragon is supposed to have been the battle standard of King Arthur. When Wales was annexed to the Kingdom of England under Henry VIII the Welsh dragon became one of the supporters of the Royal Arms alongside the English Lion.

The fourth in a series of 10 coins known as the Queen's Beasts series, each featuring one of the heraldic statues present at HM the Queen's coronation in 1953. The Black Bull of Clarence decended to the Queen through Edward IV.

The sixth in a series of 10 coins known as the Queen's Beasts series, each featuring one of the heraldic statues present at HM the Queen's coronation in 1953. The Yale of Beaufort was a mythical beast, descending to the Queen through King Henry VII, who inherited it from his mother, Lady Margaret Beaufort.

The eighth in a series of ten coins known as the Queen's Beasts series, each featuring one of the heraldic statues present at HM the Queen's coronation in 1953. White Horse of Hanover was introduced into the Royal Arms in 1714 when Elector George of Hanover, the grandson of Elizabeth Stuart, daughter of King James I, became George I, King of Great Britain and Ireland.

The last in a series of 10 coins known as the Queen's Beasts series, each featuring one of the heraldic statues present at HM the Queen's coronation in 1953. The griffin is an ancient mythical beast; it has the winged body of a lion with the head of an eagle. It is found on the private seal of Edward III.
