'Ali (1916-1924), a fantastic quality example! PCGS graded Proof 67 PL. Modeled after the extremely rare Heaton Mint pattern. Husayn wanted to be entitled "King of All Arabs", thus the year 1 was meant to be the first year of the new Caliphate. Struck sometime circa 1970 by the Green Duck Corporation Mint in Hernando, Mississippi. Catalog value of $500 in the Unusual World Coins catalog.
