Note: 'Wu tong' is a Buddhist term referring to the Five Psychic Powers: the psychic power of the heavenly eye, the psychic power of the heavenly ear, the psychic power with regard to post lives, the psychic power with regard to the minds, and the spiritually based psychic powers. Its co-occurrence with the Bagua on the reverse is typical of Chinese folk belief found on charms but, at the same time, we note that Wu tong is also a Taoist term that refers to five similar psychic powers..
