IONIA, Kolophon. Circa 450-400 BC. AR Drachm (18mm, 5.25 g, 12h). Laureate head of Apollo right; Σ behind / Kithara within incuse square. Milne, Colophon –; SNG Kayhan –; CNG 63, lot 487 var. (slightly different form of ethnic; same obv. die). VF, a bit overcleaned. Rare with "Σ".

The "Σ" was not noted on the specimen we sold in 2003.
