THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 260 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 16.19 g, 2h). Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram to outer left, monogram in exergue. Marinescu Issue 1 (unlisted dies); Thompson 249 (Pella mint). Fine, toned, some porosity. Very rare.
