Charles II (1660-1685), "Company of Royal Adventurers Trading into Africa", Two-Guineas, 1664 Elephant, first laureate bust with pointed truncation right, Elephant below, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, five strings to harp, edge straight milled, 16.69g [257.6grns], 7h (Stratos 152; Schneider II, 430; EGC 204; MCE 32; Spink 3334), residue of solder at 12 o'clock, and lightly polished, otherwise residual toning and lustre, struck details a really bold / very fine, the first year of issue, but sadly not a wholesome example.
