Independent Republic silver "Independence & Liberty" Crown 1969 MS62 NGC, KM5 (Rare). A rare emission struck during a violent three-year conflict between Biafra and the federal government of Nigeria. The bust of Biafran President Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu is rendered in meticulous high relief, a clarity matched by the palm tree motif on the reverse. One of only a handful seen in recent memory, tinted by a touch of linen tone, and tied for the second-finest position at NGC.
