MACEDON. Acanthus. Ca. 470-430 BC. AR tetradrachm (26mm, 17.12 gm, 5h). NGC Choice VF 4/5 - 3/5, scratches. Lion springing right, tail downward, biting into hind quarters of bull kneeling to left with head raised; ΔI above, laurel branch with five leaves in exergue, all within dotted border / ΑΚΑ-Ν-ΘΙΟ-Ν, legend in relief on incuse band, around raised quadripartite square with lightly stippled surfaces, all within shallow incuse square.
