Head of Athena right, hair in five tight corkscrew curls and loose over left shoulder, wearing beaded necklace and triple-crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, with long divergent crest ends, bowl decorated with coiled serpent right / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Nike standing facing, head left, wreath in outstretched right hand, stylis cradled in left arm; trident head left in outer left field. Price 175. Elegantly carved designs accentuated by russet cabinet toning to offset the otherwise marigold fields.
